First of all Justin's parents came for the weekend a couple of weekends ago. It was great to see them! Unfortunately, Easton wasn't feeling well, so he was irritable the whole time, so I don't know how much they really could enjoy him.
Yesterday, we took him to a small zoo near us and here are a few of the highlights:
We thought this sleeping porcupine was so cute!
This jaguar was so gorgeous and they had a black one that was beautiful too, but he didn't show up in pictures.
We had fun although it was frustrating that Easton enjoyed the playground and the Prairie Dog Hole (pictured below) much more then the animals! There 's nothing like paying $24 to watch your kid play on the playground! Oh well! The animals were interesting to me and Justin at least!

That's how it always is. Kids don't appreciate the main reason for going places. They usually find something stupid to enjoy. But I guess as long as they had fun in the end it doesn't matter.
Both my kids are the exact same way. Every single time we go to the zoo we spend most of our time on their plain ordinary play ground. And I always make the same comment about paying $ to play on it. I at least enjoy the animals!
That's why we got the zoo passes for dad. They can go a little each time, and now the girls actually look at the animals.
Mom and Dad loved getting to see you guys. They didn't mind at all that Easton was fussy.
My in laws came to visit and Braxton was the biggest beast! And typically he is such a good boy! Urg....They can get the best of us! And I have totally been there and done that with the playground. Braxton did the same thing at the zoo.
I hate it when my kids get sick at the worst times...glad he's feeling better.
It is bizarre how every kid is like that! At least you guys had a good time!
That is such a pretty picture of that jaguar! We have only taken Kelly to the zoo once, it is so blazing hot here, and when the weather is decent it is field trip season for schools. Kind of a lose/lose!
I definitely remember when Ashton loved playing more than the animals!! I'm glad you had a fun visit!
