Catching Up

Since it has been so long since I have blogged, here are pictures from the last 4 months from oldest to most recent.

Easton's 3rd birthday party!
Aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins!

The little hamburgers are cupcakes and the fries are actually sugar cookies.  They turned out pretty good I think!

Big smiles!

Introducing Carson Kirk Jester

Justin made it to the birth this time, so things got off on the right foot! We are so happy to have this sweet little boy in our family!

Spring is in the air

Here are a few pictures from an Easter egg hunt. Easton enjoyed collecting candy with his cousin, Elliot, and his friend, Will.
Here Easton has set his basket down, letting us know he was all done. He enjoyed the egg hunt, but he enjoyed the water ice and kettle corn we got after the hunt even more. One of our favorite places in Philly, Rita's Water Ice, had a location near the egg hunt. Justin and I loved that part too!

We went to see the Texas bluebonnets and take pictures! Easton enjoyed trampling the flowers more than posing for pictures, but we managed to get a few good ones.
We drove to a little town about an hour away that gets the most flowers. They have a little festival too, but the flowers bloomed early this year, so the festival isn't for a couple weeks.
Indian paintbrush mixed with bluebonnets. Really pretty!
This was the place that had the most flowers. Very pretty!

This was a good shot of how Easton acted half the time.
Best family picture because Easton is smiling!
Such a cute picture!

Name for Baby # 2

Definitely one benefit to having another boy is that we discussed thousands of names before we named Easton, so names were definitely narrowed down this time. We started reading through boy names again and we pretty much liked the same 3 or 4 names we thought of naming Easton. Instead of deciding at the last minute (like with Easton), we have have picked one early this time.

Our new baby boy will be Carson!

New Orleans!

We took an impromptu trip to New Orleans with our good friends Laura and Donnie. We had a blast!
Pictured above is gumbo, dirty rice, and duck quesadillas

Beautiful St. Louis Cathedral

Laura & Donnie
A New Orleans favorite! A muffaletta sandwich

We would eat at Cafe Du Monde for breakfast every morning. They had delicious beignets and hot chocolate!
They are doused in powdered sugar!

We didn't have a gator dog, but we tried a delicious gator burger! We also tried a Boudin Po'Boy sandwich which is sausage stuffed with rice and some other things. The Boudins were fried and were Cajun style!
There was this adorable little cafe that had live jazz music that we loved! It had white lights in the trees and a water fountain. It was so picturesque! It was just what I pictured for New Orleans!
Bourbon street. Pardon my hair. It rained everyday and had 90% humidity, so I looked like Weird Al with my frizzy head of curls. (Thankfully ponytails were my friend :)
There were signs everywhere for the "strongest drink" in New Orleans, "A Jester." Justin got a kick out of it!
Donnie's crab fried up and ready to eat!
Crab Nachos that were really delicious! Always when we are with Donnie and Laura we all make an effort to try as much of the local food as possible and we did! We ate a lot! We had such a great time!
