New England

My friend Kelly is from New Hampshire and she wanted to drive home and visit her family, so me and Easton drove with her and her two kids. Also, another family we are friends with met us in New Hampshire and we all enjoyed a week together. Here we are in front of a lighthouse at York Beach, Maine.
It struck me instantly how much bluer the water was here than the other beaches I've seen it the Northeast. The camera doesn't do it justice.
Me, Kelly, Sarah, and our kids.
Another day we went to a beach off a lake in New Hampshire. We kayaked and enjoyed the view! There were many nice homes surrounding the lake.
Here is Easton at his favorite spot in Kelly's house. There was a busy road out front and Easton loved to watch all the cars go by from this window.
We went to this adorable little town in New Hampshire called Portsmouth. It had beautiful historic homes and fun shops and restaurants.
We ate at a hippy type place that had crazy menu items and even crazier decorations!
The food was unique, but really good.
We went to an outdoor play that was right on the water. If you look closely you can see Peter Pan flying through the air.
Here is a beach in Salisbury, Massachusetts. Another beautiful beach! By beach day three Easton was really loving the ocean!
Relaxing on the beach!
Easton was so tan after this trip! A lot more tan than I got.

We had a great trip! Thanks Kelly and the Kanes!

New York!

We took a day trip to New York. We hadn't been in years, so it was really fun.
We first at a Katz Deli and it was delicious!
My friend Ciara met us at Katz & I got to chat with her for about 45 mins. It was way too short, but I'm so glad I got to see her.
This is a $15.75 reuben, So good!
We went to see a Mets game. They have a very nice field and we had a good time!
They actually were playing the Phillies, but the Phillies fans were so obnoxious, so we were cheering for the Mets.
The weather was perfect! It was mid 70's with very low humidity! It was a great day!

Summer Fun

It was such a nice day on Saturday (finally not extremely hot & humid), so we decided to walk around downtown Philly. We went to a bunch of the historical sites. Here is Ben Franklin's grave in the Old City section of Philly.

Here we are near Ben Franklin's house. All that is left is the frame and a few objects. Too bad because I'm sure if his house was preserved it would be very interesting.
Here are some of my friends at the shore. We went to Ocean City, New Jersey (this was about a month ago, but I forgot to upload the pictures.) Notice Easton's playpen with the golf umbrella over it. This worked nicely because he was shaded, wasn't crawling around in the sand (getting dirty & eating it), and he could play with most of his toys still. We had nice weather and had a great time!
Easton enjoying the shore! It's been a fun summer!
